Introducing Paquera Mezcal Espadin, a true conversation starter for any gathering. Produced by Juan Hernández in the region of Santiago Matatlán, this mezcal is made from 7-year-old Espadin (Agave angustifolia) maguey.
The traditional methods used in the production of this mezcal set it apart. The agave hearts are cooked in a conical earthen oven with mesquite wood for six days, then macerated using a horse-drawn stone mill known as Tahona. The fermentation takes place in Awewete Wood Barrels, allowing for natural fermentation to occur.
Distilled twice in copper pot stills, this mezcal comes from a batch size of 2016L, with each bottle individually numbered. Paquera Mezcal Espadin has an ABV of 42.5% and is presented in a 750ml bottle.
