Explore the Flavorful Heritage of A.D. Rattray Cask Orkney 15 Year Old
Founded by Andrew Dewar Rattray in 1868, A D Rattray has a long-standing history in the world of spirits. Originally starting as an importer of French wines, Italian spirits, and olive oil, the company later expanded its expertise into the blending and storage of malt and grain whiskies. Throughout the years, A D Rattray has become synonymous with quality and craftsmanship.
In the late 1800s, A D Rattray was known for representing esteemed Highland malts, particularly the renowned Stronachie. As the company grew under the ownership of William Walker in the early 20th century, it acquired smaller merchants and continued to supply exceptional whiskies to the Scottish west.
Today, A D Rattray is owned by Tim Morrison, a fourth-generation descendant of Rattray and former owner of Morrison Bowmore Distillery. The company's main focus is on promoting its signature brands - Stronachie, Cask Islay, and Bank Note - as well as bottling unique and exclusive casks of Scotch whisky.
The A.D. Rattray Cask Orkney 15 Year Old is a testament to the brand's dedication to quality and tradition. With its rich history and commitment to excellence, A D Rattray continues to be a leading name in the world of whisky.
